LADBROKES COMMUNITY SPORTS CHALLENGE (DEVONPORT CUP 2024)
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.

| Eligible Entrants | This Promotion is open to all sporting clubs based in the North-West of Tasmania (“Eligible Entrants”), which includes the areas in Annexure A. The Promoter reserves the discretion to determine whether entrants qualify as sporting clubs based in the North-West of Tasmania and to exclude any applicant in the Promoter’s sole discretion.
Entrants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and reside in Australia. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and its related entities are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, brother, sister, step-brother or step-sister. |

| How to Enter | 1. Register for random ballot
To enter the Promotion, each Eligible Entrant must register via an online form at https://lcss.tasracing.com.au. Each Eligible Entrant must nominate a representative of the sporting club to participate on their behalf. Entry details include the name, address and payment details of the Eligible Entrant as well as the name, position and contact details of the Eligible Entrant’s representative.
Entries open on 12.00am on 15TH November 2023 and must be received by the Promoter by 4.00pm Wednesday 20th December 2023.
2. Participation in Promotion Twelve (12) Eligible Entrants will be drawn randomly from 12.00pm on 10 January 2024 during the Devonport Cup at Spreyton Racecourse in Devonport. Each Eligible Entrant drawn will participate in the Promotion (“Participating Eligible Entrant”). A second random draw will be conducted to determine the horses allocated to each Participating Eligible Entrant from 12.00pm at Spreyton Racecourse on Wednesday, 10th January 2024. Participating Eligible Entrants will be awarded prizes based on the performance of their allocated horse during the Nominated Race on Wednesday, 10 January 2024. |

| Winner Notification | Participating Eligible Entrants will be contacted via email within 48 hours of the completion of the Devonport Cup Race. Names of winners will be published on www.tasracing.com.au at the end of the Devonport Cup Race on Wednesday 11 January 2023.
Participating Eligible Entrants will receive their prize money via electronic transfer. Details of each Participating Eligible Entrant’s nominated bank accounts must be provided to the Promoter. The Promoter will pay prize money to all Participating Eligible Entrants within 28 days from the testing of blood or urine samples of the allocated horses producing a negative result for prohibited substances.

| Unclaimed Prizes | Subject to any direction from a regulatory authority, prizes will be kept for 3 months from the day the winner is decided. Prizes must be claimed within this 3-month period from being notified by Tasracing that they are entitled to prize money, by responding to the Promoter’s email notification sent after the end of the Devonport Cup Race on Wednesday 11 January 2023. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
FURTHER DETAILS
- Prizes are not transferrable. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes may not, without the prior consent of the Promoter and any applicable third-party supplier of the prize (Supplier), be resold or offered for sale at a premium or used for advertising, promotion or commercial purposes (including for other promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. If a prize is sold or used in contravention of these conditions, the Promoter or the Supplier may, at their sole discretion, withdraw and/or cancel the prize(s). If a prize has been withdrawn and/or cancelled, refunds, substitutes or compensation will not be offered to the winner.
- Representatives nominated by each sporting club warrant that they possess the authority to communicate with the Promoter and receive prize money on behalf of their sporting club.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the application of the prize money after receipt of the prize money into the nominated bank accounts of Participating Eligible Entrants.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry, inaccurate information or any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems (including security breaches, theft or destruction), any cause beyond the Promoter’s control, or unauthorised access to or alteration of the Promotion. If any of these events occur, the Promoter may (subject to any directions from relevant authorities) modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Promotion. Further, the Promoter at its sole discretion may recommence this Promotion under the same conditions.
- If any prize (or portion of a prize) becomes unavailable for any reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, including but not limited to, technical difficulties, or unauthorised intervention, the Promoter may substitute a prize (or portion of a prize) of equal or greater value (subject to any directions from relevant authorities). No compensation will be offered if such event occurs.
- In the event of war, terrorism, pandemic, state of emergency, or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, or suspend or modify a prize.
- The Promoter will make all reasonable attempts to contact winners. If a winner does not claim their prize by the time and date specified in the Schedule, their entry will then be deemed invalid.
- It is the Eligible Entrant’s obligation to notify the Promoter immediately if their contact details change at any time during the Promotional Period or any relevant period outside of the Promotional Period regarding a draw or redraw.
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Eligible Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Eligible Entrant.
- The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, employment, residential address of winners and any other information from Eligible Entrants relevant for entry into or participation in this Promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who provides false information, fails to provide information, is in breach of these conditions, provides entries that are offensive or otherwise inappropriate in the sole opinion of the Promoter, conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or who is otherwise involved in any way in manipulating, interfering or tampering with the conduct of this Promotion, or who has engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
- The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (even if caused by negligence) as a result of using a prize or in relation to the Promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- Any prize supplied by a third-party Supplier is subject to the terms and conditions of that third-party Supplier. The Promoter is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any winner as a result of the conduct of any third-party Supplier. Nothing in these conditions restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
- The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage, loss or delay in transit regarding the prize.
- Eligible Entrants and their representatives consent to the Promoter using their name, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
- The personal information of Eligible Entrants and their representatives will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this Promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties, the Promoter’s related bodies corporate, agencies and contractors for the purpose of processing and conducting the Promotion) and for promotional purposes, public statements and advertisements surrounding this Promotion. By entering this Promotion, Eligible Entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional purposes without any further reference or payment to the Eligible Entrant. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who provides false information, fails to provide information, is in breach of these conditions, provides entries that are offensive or otherwise inappropriate in the sole opinion of the Promoter, conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or who is otherwise involved in any way in manipulating, interfering or tampering with the conduct of this Promotion, or who has engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
- The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (even if caused by negligence) as a result of using a prize or in relation to the Promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- Any prize supplied by a third-party Supplier is subject to the terms and conditions of that third-party Supplier. The Promoter is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any winner as a result of the conduct of any third-party Supplier. Nothing in these conditions restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
- The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage, loss or delay in transit regarding the prize.
- Eligible Entrants and their representatives consent to the Promoter using their name, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
- The personal information of Eligible Entrants and their representatives will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this Promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties, the Promoter’s related bodies corporate, agencies and contractors for the purpose of processing and conducting the Promotion) and for promotional purposes, public statements and advertisements surrounding this Promotion. By entering this Promotion, Eligible Entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional purposes without any further reference or payment to the Eligible Entrant. - These conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania.
